Provided are a metal oxide dispersion which is improved in dispersion and has a surface resistance of 5x10^4 Ohm/cm2 and a reflectivity less than 1 % without the deterioration of electrical conductivity, and a front panel for a display device containing a transparent coating layer formed by using the dispersion. The metal oxide dispersion comprises 100 parts by weight of a metal oxide; an organic solvent; and 0.5-20 parts by weight of a beta-diketone as a dispersant. Preferably the beta-ketone has a boiling point lower than the sintering temperature after coating process, and is at least one selected from the group consisting of 2,4-pentanedione, 3-methyl-2,4-pentanedione. 3-isopropyl-2,4-pentanedione and 2,2-dimethyl-3,5-hexanedione. Preferably the organic solvent is an alcohol; and the metal oxide is at least one selected from the group consisting of indium oxide, indium tin oxide, tin oxide, tin antimony oxide, zinc aluminum oxide and titanium oxide.
