A waste basket is provided to let many people use all together in a public space and not to have to wait for a long time to throw out the trash by opening and closing two sides of a cover easily with dead weight. A waste basket comprises a lower body(1) provided with a housing space(11) to house trash on inside, and a cover coupled to a cover frame(2) installed to the top of the lower body and rotated by a rotating device installed to the cover frame, wherein the rotating device comprises a rotary bar(41) inserted to a retreated groove(21) formed in the front, rear ends of the cover frame and fitted with one or more torsion coil springs(411) at the outside, and the cover comprises first, second inclined plates(31,32) including hinge fixing portions(311,321) provided with guide holes(311a,321a) to be separable from the rotary bar, and the first, second inclined plates are installed to be corresponded to each other against the rotary bar. |
