<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a substrate for a display panel capable of controlling a cell gap without increasing the number of photomask sheets to be used or steps, and to provide a photomask to be used for manufacturing the substrate. <P>SOLUTION: First elements 221, 231 of spacers 22, 23 are patterned at prescribed positions in and out of a display region (A) simultaneously when a first color layer 111 is patterned; then a second element 222 of the spacer 22 is patterned at a position to be stacked on the first element 221 formed in the display region (A) simultaneously when a second color layer 112 is patterned; and further, a second element 232 of the spacer 23 is patterned at a position to be stacked on the first element 231 formed out of the display region (A) simultaneously when a third color layer 113 is patterned. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
