A blind road guidance system and a method thereof for providing necessary and safe routing information by using mobile RFID are provided to offer voice and vibration by using a present location of a user and the shortest path to a destination. Accordingly, the blind can arrive at the desired destination using a safe and efficient path. A mobile RFID(Radio Frequency Identification)(22) comprises a RFID tag(10), a stick antenna(11), a RFID reader(12), and terminal(13). The RFID tag is positioned in an induction block for the blind. The stick antenna set in a stick for the blind receives the information of the tag. And the tag information is transmitted from the stick antenna to the RFID reader set in the terminal. At this time, the stick antenna is connected to the RFID reader through the extension cable. The terminal provides the blind with the information about a navigation service by using voice or vibration. A management server comprises an ONS(Object Name Service) Server(19), a mobile server(20), and a web server(21). The ONS server connects the RFID tag information and geographic information. The mobile server operates with the mobile RFID. The mobile server determines the current position of the blind based on the RFID tag information which the mobile RFID collects. And the mobile server receives final destination information and calculates the shortest path. The web server provides information like the current position of the blind. The management server calculates the shortest path to the final destination from the current position of the blind. The mobile RFID and the management server communicate through a public communications network(18). |
