A broad area shadowing method and broad area shadowing system of a game server are provided to reduce the rendering width of an object for the object located in a long distance and render a shadow corresponding to the object, thereby reducing the load of rendering and implementing the image realization of the shadow in real time. A zone information database(210) stores zone information about a plurality of game zones. A zone information search unit(220) searches the zone information of a game zone in which a player character is positioned in the zone information database. A rendering processor(230) renders shadows about an object within the game zone by using the searched zone information. A shadow processing system(200) reduces the width of a discrete object and renders the shadows of the object. |
