A system and a method for providing the image information of a tourist spot are provided to grant control authority for cameras installed in the tourist spot to a user connected to a network, thereby enabling the user to control the cameras and receive the image and sound source information of the tourist spot. A web server(200) provides the interface of a web page form to a terminal(100) connected to network, receives an input signal from the terminal, and transmits the image information of a tourist spot to the terminal. A control server(300) receives the user input signal received from the web server, controls a video camera(400) connected to the network corresponding to the user input signal, receives the image information photographed by the video camera, and transmits the received image information to the web server. The video camera photographs the image of surrounding scenery under the control of the control server connected to the network.
