PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle body rear part structure capable of eliminating and ignoring the need of considering behavior of a spare tire in rear end collision, capable of facilitating design of a vehicle body rear part, capable of enhancing strength, and capable of restraining cabin deformation caused by running down a rear bumper. SOLUTION: In the vehicle body rear part structure 11, the spare tire 54 is held in the standing condition in a cargo compartment 49 in the rear of a cabin 16 having a rear seat 17, and is supported by a spare tire attachment/detachment member 55. The vehicle body rear part structure 11 is provided with a spare tire pan 51 formed on a rear floor 32 which is a floor of the cargo compartment 49 and holding the spare tire 54 in a front end 52 in the standing condition; and a rear cross member 36 having the spare tire attachment/detachment member 55, and laid along a seat back 24 and continued to right and left side walls of the cargo compartment 49.
