PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently perform classification work of currencies issued in various countries.SOLUTION: A currency processing device 10 comprises: a reception port 21 for receiving a plurality of different kinds of currencies and taking the received currencies in a device body; plural discharge ports 23, 24 and 25; and a control part for controlling a transport part so that distribution of the currencies to the respective discharge ports 23, 24 and 25 from the transport part is performed based on an identification result of the currencies by an identification part. The control part determines whether the currency kinds of the currencies identified by the identification part are allocated to any of the plural discharge ports 23, 24 and 25 or not, and when they are allocated, the control part controls so that the currencies are transported to the discharge ports 23, 24 and 25, and when the currency kinds of the currencies identified by the identification part are not allocated to any of the plural discharge ports 23, 24 and 25, and there is a discharge port where no currency kind is allocated, the control part controls so that the currency kind is allocated to the discharge port and the currency is transported to the allocated discharge port. |
