A stabilizer arrangement for mobile apparatus such as an access platform is provided. The mobile apparatus comprises a chassis 10 with a functional component 16 movably mounted thereon for movement between a rest position and a use position. The stabiliser arrangement comprises a stabilizer member 26 movably mounted with respect to the chassis 10 and having a ground-engaging portion 30. The stabilizer member 26 is movable between a retracted condition in which the ground-engaging portion 30 does not engage the ground and a deployed condition in which the ground-engaging portion 30 engages the ground. The stabilizer member 26 and functional component 16 are mechanically interconnected such that, in use, initial functional movement from the rest position of the functional component 16 relative to the chassis 10 causes movement of the stabilizer member 26 from the retracted condition to the deployed condition. |
