<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a telescopic shaft capable of maintaining smooth contact condition with an axial directional groove and capable of preventing an increase of sliding resistance and abrasion of a columnar pin by moving the columnar pin, following a curve of the axial groove, without using a plastic holder, and to provide a steering device with the same. <P>SOLUTION: In the case wherein there is a curve in an axial directional groove 41 of a female intermediate shaft 16B due to an error in manufacture, a columnar pin 53 is guided in an end surface 531 thereof by a rotatable spherical body 55A, and moved in the circumferential direction, following the curve of the axial directional groove 41. Consequently, an increase of sliding resistance due to a contact failure between the columnar pin 53 and the axial directional groove 41 and abrasion of the columnar pin 53 can be avoided. A male intermediate shaft 16A is thereby smoothly moved in the right and left direction expressed in Fig.2 relative to the female intermediate shaft 16B, and can be moved at a stable sliding resistance for a long time without looseness. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
