PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device, system and method for transmitting electromagnetic radiation between at least two separate fibers.SOLUTION: A device for transmitting electromagnetic radiation between at least two separate fibers is provided with a first optical fiber and a second optical fiber. The first and/or second optical fibers are rotatable. The device includes: a first optical unit part which performs communication on an end of at least one of the first and second optical fibers; a second unit part which controls the position of the optical unit part and aligns the axes in the longitudinal direction of the first and second optical fibers on the ends thereof; a third unit part which rotates the first and/or second optical fibers faster than 40 turns per second; and a fourth unit part which connects the first and/or second optical fibers to a catheter mounting part and includes a protective tool provided on at least one end thereof. The protective tool is automatically detached when the first and/or second optical fibers are connected to the catheter mounting part via the fourth unit part.SELECTED DRAWING: None
