PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology capable of achieving power saving by making a communication device set an interface to an appropriate state according to the status of an external apparatus.SOLUTION: An MFP 10 changes states of a Wi-Fi interface and a NFC interface from a standby state to an ON state upon receiving a Scan_Req signal including distance information "Near", start information, and instruction information from a portable terminal 50 (T22) while the Wi-Fi interface and the NFC interface are in standby states (T26). The MFP 10 executes communication of data to be printed with the portable terminal 50 through the Wi-Fi interface while the Wi-Fi interface and the NFC interface are in ON states (T32).SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 7 |
