<p>PURPOSE:To enhance safety and work efficiency dramatically by applying a device capable of detecting the material of a body on a non contact basis, especially to a drilling machine. CONSTITUTION:The voltage ratio strength between the voltage to be input to a transmission antenna 5 and the voltage to be output from a receiving antenna ratio 6 and their phase frequency characteristics are measured at a signal processing section 14. The signal processing section 14 is capable of measuring reflection frequency characteristics of a body based on the predetermined gains of the transmission antenna 5 and the receiving antenna 6 and their phase antenna frequency characteristics and phase electromagnetic wave frequency characteristics, the wavelength of the electromagnetic waves S and the distance between the transmission and receiving antennas 5 and 6 and the body. On the other hand, the reflection frequency characteristics are preliminarily stored in conformity to each material of the body in a memory section 15 respectively. The material which comforms to the measured reflection frequency characteristics out of the stored reflection frequency characteristics is detected as the required material to the body.</p> |
