STEAM SURGE SYSTEM FOR AN IRON

A steam surge system with a reservoir, a pump, a conduit and a seal. The seal is located at an entrance to a steam chamber of an iron. The conduit connects an outlet of the pump to the steam chamber entrance by passing water through the seal. The seal prevents steam from exiting the steam chamber entrance and has a slit to allow water to pass through the seal into the steam chamber. The seal prevents water from passing through the slit unless the pump is being actuated.
