PURPOSE: A lithium secondary battery is provided, which improves a case which seals a battery body for generating a certain current. CONSTITUTION: The lithium secondary battery comprises: a battery body (4) for generating a certain current; and a case (10) for sealing the battery body (4) including an accepting unit (11) which the battery body (4) is inserted; a case body (13) having a first connecting unit (12) extended at a certain length to the external side of the entrance of the first connecting unit (12); and a plate type cover unit (15), which a second connecting unit (14) is installed according to an edge, to be formed for closing the entrance of the accepting unit (11). Thereby, it is possible to produce in great quantities and strongly improve the sealing surface.
