<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a waste tire crushing method and apparatus capable of perfectly separating tire chips roughly crushed to a degree of 10 cm2 into rubber and an iron component only by one crushing process and to simplify a process for producing a rubber powder from a waste tire to accelerate the material recycle of the waste tire. SOLUTION: Waste tire chips are held by the one-shaft rotary blades 3 rotated in a casing 2 and both edges of fixed blades 4, 4 fixed in opposed relation to the rotary blades in such a state that a gap slightly larger than the diameter of piano wires contained in a tire is provided between the edges and only rubber is broken without cutting piano wires and steel fibers and torn off by the rotation of the rotary blades 3 to crush the waste tire chips while separating rubber from an iron component.</p> |
