PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact electric cooker of enhanced serviceability that allows cooking while removing soot generated during cooking on a table in a house. SOLUTION: This electric cooker includes a plate 40 with an opening located approximately in its center, a heater 42 positioned therebelow, and a heat blocking plate 44 covering the underside of the plate 40. Then the electric cooker has an air passage 49 provided inside a main body, a filter 47 provided within the air passage, a fan 50 for causing flow of air within the air passage, and a motor 51 provided below the fan 50.
