<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an IP multicast/broadcast distribution technique capable of quickly switching channels and efficiently utilizing a communication band. <P>SOLUTION: When a viewing channel is specified from an STB 5 and the specified channel is registered in a received channel management TB 131, an IP multicast/broadcast distribution unit 142 distributes the specified channel being received by an IP multicast/broadcast receiving unit 141 from terminal IF units 121, 122 connected to the STB 5. When the specified channel is not registered, the IP multicast/broadcast receiving unit 141 is allowed to receive and distribute the specified channel. When the end of the viewing channel is received from the STB 5 and the viewing channel is managed in a distribution channel management TB 132 while being associated with another STB 5, reception of the viewing channel is continued, and if the viewing channel is not managed, the reception of the viewing channel is ended by the IP multicast/broadcast receiving unit 141. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
