PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow a user to easily recognize devices corresponding to protocols different in number as one device.

SOLUTION: A PC 1 compares a MAC address of a unique ID element 73 in N-PnP information of a WSD base" issued from a printer 3 with a MAC address set in a unique ID element 124 of "N-PnP information of a UPnP base". When the MAC addresses are the same, the PC 1 unifies a menu for WSD and a menu for UPnP and displays a printer corresponding to WSD and a printer corresponding to UPnP as one device with one icon 45.
