A refrigerator is provided to mount an ice maker in an insulating case formed to a door of a refrigerating compartment, positioned at an upper part of a freezer compartment, for a user not to bend down when withdrawing ice. A refrigerator includes a main body having a refrigerating compartment at an upper part of a freezer compartment, of which door(53) is mounted with an insulating case(61) with a predetermined internal space. A refrigerating duct(62) communicates the refrigerating compartment to the freezer compartment. An ice making duct(64) connects the freezer compartment to the insulating case. An ice maker(66) is mounted in the insulating case for making ice by chilled air introduced from the freezer compartment via the ice making duct. An ice bank(67) is mounted at a lower part of the ice maker for receiving ice made and discharged by the ice maker.
