PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dental composition which is useful as a dental adhesive and the like, is highly reliable in terms of long-term durability of material, is hardly discolorable, and has a low water absorbency. SOLUTION: The dental composition contains a tertiary-hydroxy-group-containing polymerizable monomer represented by general formula (1), such as 2-hydroxy-2-methylpropyl methacrylate, 2-hydroxy-2-methylpropyl acrylate, 3-hydroxy-1,3-dimethylbutyl methacrylate, 3-hydroxy-1,3-dimethylbutyl acrylate, 3-hydroxy-3-methylbutyl methacrylate, or 3-hydroxy-3-methylbutyl acrylate. In the formula, R<SB>1</SB>is a hydrogen atom or a methyl group; R<SB>2</SB>of each repeating unit is independently a hydrogen atom or a methyl group; R<SB>3</SB>and R<SB>4</SB>are each a 1-4C hydrocarbon group; and m is an integer of 1-10.
