<p>A ball joint in which rattling in a socket of a ball sheet is prevented. If a cushion sheet (5) is deformed by a predetermined amount when a load equal to or greater than a first predetermined value is applied in the axial direction of a ball stud (2), a facing section (73) comes to be in contact with a first load taking section (52) of a ball sheet (4). This causes the ball sheet (4) to prevent the cushion sheet (5) from deforming in the center axis direction to the extent equal to or greater than a predetermined amount. Also, when a load greater than the first predetermined value and equal to or greater than a second predetermined value is applied to the axial direction of the ball stud (2), a second load taking section (54) of the ball stud (4) comes to be in contact with a bottom surface section (33) of an inner room (25) of the socket (3). This causes an axial load to the cushion sheet (5) to be reduced and the ball sheet (4) to prevent the cushion sheet (5) from deforming to the extent equal to or greater than a predetermined amount. Even if a relatively large axial load is applied to the ball stud (2), permanent deformation of the cushion sheet (5) is suppressed and rattling of the ball sheet (4) in the socket (3) can be prevented.</p> |
