A frequency generator which is available in the ultra-wideband and a method for producing a frequency are provided to perform the frequency hopping at high speed by using a plurality of frequency generators. A multi-frequency synthesizing part(110) synthesizes a plurality of frequencies including the first, second and third frequencies(F1, F2, F3) which corresponds to one of multiple bands. A frequency generation part(120) converts the second and third frequencies to generate a plurality of different temporary frequencies, and then makes a frequency which is generated by mixing the first frequency(F1) with the temporary frequencies into an output frequency(FOUT) corresponding to one of multiple bands. The frequency generation part can correspond to an MB-OFDM(Multi-Band Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing) UWB(UltraWide Band) frequency generator.
