<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an exhaust emission control device for a hybrid vehicle for quickly and surely completing EGR purge of adsorbent. <P>SOLUTION: When it is determined that an adsorbent bed temperature is a reference temperature T2 or higher, an engine intermittent operation is stopped, and an engine steady-state operation is implemented under conditions in which an EGR open degree becomes larger and the bed temperature becomes higher (Step 110). Traveling torque adjustment during engine steady-state operation is conducted by an electric motor.
