PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a low sulfur fuel oil composition, which is light with a low dynamic viscosity and excellent anti-foaming property and capable of decreasing foaming property. SOLUTION: The fuel oil composition is improved in anti-foaming property of light oil by adjusting a proportion between an aromatic content and a saturation content in the components of the light oil, particularly, by optimizing the proportion between the aromatic content and an n-paraffin content. The proportion of the aromatic content [vol%] to a n-paraffin content [vol%] (aromatic content/n-paraffin content) is adjusted to a range from 1.8 to 15.0, the aromatic group content is controlled to at most 40 vol%, and the sulfur content is controlled to at most 30 mass ppm.
