PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a seal device capable of sufficiently realizing a prevention of damage of rotating body and fins and a restriction of vibration and the like.SOLUTION: A packing ring in this invention has a physical relation between the first distance D1 where the most-downstream side fin arranged at the most-downstream side in a plurality of fins and downstream joint surface positioned at the downstream joint part are spaced apart in an axial direction and the second distance D2 where the most-upstream side fin arranged at the most-upstream side in a plurality of fins and upstream joint surface positioned at the upstream joint part are spaced apart in an axial direction satisfy the relation indicated in the following formula [1], i.e. D1>D2 [1]SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
