Disclosed is a technology relating to a security management apparatus for home internet of things (IoT) devices and a method. The security management apparatus for home IoT devices according to the present invention comprises: a device authentication unit which, when a home IoT device providing IoT service at home connects to a wireless network through an access point (AP) at home, performs a device authentication procedure for the home IoT device; and a security network management unit which transmits connection information on a security network to the home IoT device authenticated by the device authentication procedure, and has the authenticated home IoT device connect to the security network. Therefore, the reliability of an IoT system at home and the data security are improved and user convenience can be improved at the same time. |
