A method for restoring an error of a browser cache in a set top box linked with a display device may include the steps of: being requested to execute a browser-based widget; checking whether a file required to execute the widget is managed by a cache index; comparing whether a content length recorded in a cache index is equal to a length stored in the set top box; deleting the stored file, if the content length recorded in the cache index is different from the length stored in the set top box; and downloading the file from a widget providing server again. |
