PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a photovoltaic power generation system and photovoltaic inverter that are capable of effectively melting snow deposited on a solar panel.SOLUTION: A power conversion device is connected between a solar panel and a power system. The power conversion device has: a power generation mode for performing AC conversion on power generated by the solar panel; and a snow melting mode for making the solar panel generate heat by supplying the solar panel with power acquired from the power system. The power conversion device in the snow melting mode controls a voltage output to the solar panel so that current supplied from the power conversion device to the solar panel is made to have a first current value smaller than the solar panel's overcurrent level for predetermined duration.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 7
