PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an illumination control device and an illumination control method for performing illumination control under which a moving person is suppressed from having an unpleasant feeling and falling into a hazardous state.SOLUTION: When the lighting mode is changed from a first lighting mode to a second lighting mode according to variation of the combination of detection results of person sensors 12a and 12b, a controller 23 of an illumination control device 20 compares a first priority order as a priority order pre-allocated to the first lighting mode with a second priority order as a priority order pre-allocated to the second lighting mode. When the second priority order is lower than the first priority order, the controller 23 keeps the first lighting mode for only a predetermined standby time from the time point when the combination of the detection results varies, and then switches the lighting mode to the second lighting mode. When the second priority order is not lower than the first priority order, the controller 23 switches the lighting mode from the first lighting mode to the second lighting mode at the time when the combination of the detection result varies.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 |
