<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image output device and image display device for displaying an error for transmission of a remote control signal having a transmission code corresponding to a device different from an object to be operated in an invalid state of a communicating function. <P>SOLUTION: A remote controller 3 transmits the remote control signal having the transmission code corresponding to the image output device 1 or the image display device 2 to be operated to a receiving section 14 of the image output device 1. When the image output device 1 has received the remote control signal having the transmission code corresponding the image display device 2 in a valid state of the communicating function of a CEC signal control section 12, it outputs an operation key indicated by the remote control signal to the image display device 2. When it has received the remote control signal having the transmission code corresponding to the image display device 2 in the invalid state of the communicating function of the CEC signal control section 12, it outputs a notification screen notifying reception of the remote control signal to the image display device 2 to be displayed on a display section 28. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
