PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem in which, conventionally, in high-speed continuous shooting, it is proposed that the high-speed continuous shooting is supported by omitting "lens drive operation" or "diaphragm drive operation" in the second image and later, but, strictly, "out-of-focus" and "AE error" occurs.SOLUTION: The automatic focus adjustment device of the present invention allows high-speed continuous shooting by using the following method in high-speed continuous shooting of still images. "Lens drive" for focusing is not stopped even in the exposure time. In other words, the focus lens drive is stopped in the period from the start of exposure (start of light quantity accumulation) to the finish of the exposure (finish of light quantity accumulation) in the conventional high-speed continuous shooting of still images.
