PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid supply device configured to adjust the amount of a liquid developer held on the outer peripheral surface of a supply rotary body with an adjustment member, and suppress a part of the liquid developer from being fastened to a supply rotary body compared with a configuration where the adjustment member and the supply rotary body are in contact with each other while rotation of the supply rotary body is stopped.SOLUTION: A supply device 30 comprises a supply roll 32, a blade 34, and a retraction mechanism part 40. The supply roll 32 rotates and holds a liquid developer G with cells 36 formed on the outer peripheral surface, and supplies the liquid developer G to a developing roll 22. The blade 34 is in contact with the outer peripheral surface of the supply roll 32 to adjust the amount of the liquid developer G held on the outer peripheral surface of the supply roll 32. The retraction mechanism part 40, when rotation of the supply roll 32 is stopped, moves the blade 34 to a retreat position separated from the outer peripheral surface of the supply roll 32.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
