The present invention relates to a system for preventing a sudden unintended acceleration of a vehicle, and to a sudden unintended acceleration preventing system provided at a brake pedal device (100a) and an accelerator pedal device (100b). That is, a sudden unintended acceleration preventing stroke part (200) comprises: an inner cylinder (210); an outer cylinder (220) having a diameter larger than that of the inner cylinder and inserted into an opening (213) of the inner cylinder; a sudden unintended acceleration preventing spring (230) maintaining a gap between two cylinders, and having repulsive force greater than the tension of a return spring (130) such that the sudden unintended acceleration preventing spring is compressed when stepping on a pedal (120) with force greater than the repulsive force; and a sudden unintended acceleration preventing trigger (240) provided to stop an engine by a mechanical method and brake the vehicle when a gap between two cylinders is narrowed to within a set gap, and is provided at the brake pedal device and the accelerator pedal device such that when a driver quickly steps on a brake pedal or an accelerator pedal with strong force in a sudden unintended acceleration state, the spring (230) is compressed and the sudden unintended acceleration preventing system is operated so as to stop the sudden acceleration of the engine and brake the vehicle. |
