PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide improved hematopoietic stem and progenitor cell therapy.SOLUTION: The invention provides an improved method for cell therapy. In particular, the invention provides therapeutic compositions of hematopoietic stem and/or progenitor cells having improved engraftment and homing properties, as well as methods for preparing the therapeutic compositions. The invention further provides a method for improving the efficacy of hematopoietic stem and progenitor cell transplantation comprising a step of transplanting the therapeutic composition to a subject in need of hematopoietic system reconstitution. In one embodiment, the invention provides a therapeutic composition comprising a cell population comprising at least about one million human hematopoietic stem or progenitor cells.SELECTED DRAWING: None
