Gel-type polymer electrolyte comprising a eutectic mixture and an electrochemical device containing the same

A gel-type polymer electrolyte is provided which comprises a eutectic mixture. The eutectic mixture is composed of:
(a) a heterocyclic compound selected from imidazole, pyrazole, triazole, pyrimidine, 4-isopropylimidazole, 4-methylimidazole, ethoxypyridine and N-ethylimidazole; and
(b) an ionizable lithium salt. The gel-type polymer electrolyte is formed by polymerization of the eutectic mixture and a precursor solution containing a polymerizable monomer.
