<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To recognize normality of the selection state of an actually used system and a queuing system regarding an optical communication system of partially-duplexed constitution. <P>SOLUTION: In an optical communication system, optical communication devices 1, 20 are connected by optical transmission paths 14, 15, a transmission signal is converted to an optical signal by duplex photoelectric conversion parts 5, 6, an optical signal of an actually used system selected by an optical selector 7 is transmitted to the optical transmission path 14, an optical signal received through the optical transmission path 15 is converted to an electrical signal by duplex photoelectric conversion parts 9, 10 and an electrical signal of the actually used system is selected by a selector 11 and is subjected to reception treatment. It has a means for transmitting transmission distinction information for distinguishing an actually used system and a queuing system of photoelectric conversion parts 5, 6 by a single or a plurality of bits in a preset position, a means for transmitting reception distinction information showing distinction results of transmission distinction information by a single or a plurality of bits in a position different from that of transmission distinction information in a transmission format and control parts 13, 21 which decide whether or not the transmission distinction information and the reception distinction information are normal by checking correspondence relation between them. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
