<p>Catalyst supports, catalyst systems, methods for the preparation thereof, in dimerization processes therewith are provided. Catalyst supports are prepared from alkali metal carbonate, at least one low surface area silica-alumina, and a liquid. Catalyst systems comprised of at least one elemental alkali metal deposited on the catalyst support. Optionally, the catalyst system further comprises of at least one promoter.</p> |
