PURPOSE:To obtain an ideal molded piece without a shift of a material sheet at the time of mold closing when a product is molded out of a sheet of a reinforcing material fiber impregnated with a thermoplastic resin by press molding using a mold made of a male mold and a female mold. CONSTITUTION:After a sheet is preheated, the sheet is securely set on a female mold 1 provided with projection parts 5 on the abutting surface thereof against a male mold 2 by inserting the projection parts 5 to holes provided in the sheet. The sheet is press molded by abutting the male mold 2 against the female mold 1. Correspondingly to the projection parts 5 of the female mold 1, the male mold 2 is provided with parts to be engaged 8, to which the projection parts 5 of the female mold 1 are engaged when both the molds are abutted. |
