PURPOSE:To prevent occurrence of a flash by improving sealing properties at abutting surfaces of foamable resin molds. CONSTITUTION:A sealing member 4 consisting of an elastic sheet part 5 surrounding a cavity A, a sealing part 6 provided on the inner periphery of the sheet part 5, and a frame part 7 provided on the outer periphery of the sheet part 5 is interposed in a gap (c) between abutting surfaces 2b and 3b of an upper mold 2 and a lower mold 3 in a closed position. Cylinder mechanisms 8 are connected to the frame part 7. A foamable resin is injected into the cavity A, and the upper mold 2 and the lower mold 3 are closed. Operation rods 9 of the cylinder mechanisms 8 are extended to press down the frame part 7 to pull the sheet part 5, whereby the sealing part 6 is pulled outwards to come into close contact with the gap (c) to seal it at the abutting surfaces 2b and 3b. Furthermore, the sealing part 6 is pressed against the gap (c) by a foaming pressure in the cavity A, thus ensuring a positive sealing between the abutting surfaces 2b and 3b. In this manner, the resin does not intrude to the gap (c) at the time of molding, and an occurrence of a flash can be prevented. |
