PURPOSE: To provide a container for which a box can be latched to a box door with rubbing and scrapping extremely eliminated. CONSTITUTION: A transportable pod 20 which encloses articles substantially in a sealed-up environment without particles and is connectable to a processing apparatus has a box 22 arranged adjacently at one open end of the pod and having a plurality of inwardly-looking grooves, a box door 28 having a plurality of slots 62 arranged adjacently to the grooves of the box 22 at its side wall, and a star plate 40 attached rotatively at the inside of the box door 28 and having a plurality of latching tips 42 at its periphery. The latching tips 42 can be positioned at the slots 62 and furthermore inserted through the slots 62 into the grooves provided at the box 22 while being turned outwardly with the star plate 40 rotated.
