<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical reproduction apparatus, optical recording and reproduction apparatus, and an optical reproduction method in which reproduction characteristics can be improved by reducing useless leakage light (useless component) from read-out light projected to hologram more than the case in which outgoing light from a light source is radiated to the whole pixels of a spatial optical modulator as it is, during reproduction in which signal light is reprodued by a co-linear system. <P>SOLUTION: During reproduction, coherent light projected from a light source is formed to ring shape parallel light by an axicon optical system, the formed ring shape parallel light is guided to a reference light region 26R (that is, region other than signal light region 26S) of a spatial optical modulator 26, and reference light for read-out is generated. Then, the generated reference light is radiated to an optical recording medium as read out light, and signal light recorded in hologram is reproduced. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
