LOCKING DEVICE FOR LID OF BEVERAGE OR FOOD CONTAINER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a locking device for a lid of a beverage or food container which achieves a firm locking state of the lid in a lid locking state and automatically locks the lid to close the container when the lock is locked by a duplicate key and the duplicate key is pulled out in the locking state.

SOLUTION: The locking device for the lid of the beverage or food container includes: a container body; a lid; and a lock lever 30 which is provided on the lid side and has a hook part 31 provided in a hanging condition and having an engaging part 33 detachably engageable with an engagement receiving part provided in the container body side. A lock rod receiving part 35 with a lower face of smooth abutting face 35a is provided on one end side of the lock lever 30, whereas in the lid side, a lock 40 is provided which includes a lock rod 42 with an upper face of smooth abutting face 42a facing the inside space of the lid and a cylinder 41 for turning the lock rod 42 to the locking position or unlocking position by turning operation of the duplicate key. The lock rod is disposed at a position where a gap S formed of the abutting face 42a of the lock rod 42 and the abutting face 35a of the lock lever receiving body 35, is minimized.
