<p>A process is disclosed for reducing the absorption of aromatics and volatile organic hydrocarbons into a dehydrating composition comprising passing a fluid stream in contact with a water dehydrating composition comprising a glycol selected from triethylene glycol, ethylene glycol, diethylene glycol, or mixtures thereof and a hydrocarbon solubility depressant; optionally the dehydrating composition may also contain a dissolved salt comprising at least one alkali metal carboxylate, an ammonium carboxylate, an alkali metal halide, an ammonium halide, or a mixture thereof.</p> |
