<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a broadcast receiver and a broadcast receiving method capable of taking into account the improvement in handleability for a user for its station selection operations of terrestrial analog broadcast, satellite digital broadcast and terrestrial digital broadcast, and enhancing the operability by suppressing the number of keys for station selection from being increased. <P>SOLUTION: A first one-touch station selection key group 29 and a second one-touch station selection key group 30 are in a remote controller 27, channels of the terrestrial analog broadcast are assigned to the second one-touch station selection key group 30, and mode switching is applied to the first one-touch station selection key group 29 to assign channels of the terrestrial digital broadcast, a BS digital broadcast, and a 110-degree CS digital broadcast to the first one-touch station selection key group 29.
