PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric power steering device, which has a small resistance generated in an inner side and reduces rattling sound. SOLUTION: The steering device is equipped with: a worm gear mechanism 11 including a worm shaft 14 driven by an electric motor, and a worm wheel 15 meshing with the worm shaft 14; a housing for storing the worm gear mechanism 11; a lubricant G stored in the housing; an intermediate member 49 which is interposed between one side surface 18 of the worm wheel 15 and the lower end surface 48 of a sensor housing 8, and is integrally rotated with the worm wheel 15; and an electromagnet 50 for adjusting the clearance C between the lower end surface 48 and the intermediate member 49.
