PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a single lens reflex camera in which a liquid crystal display element is assembled in a finder optical system to thereby enable a user to visually recognize liquid crystal display and the real image of a subject simultaneously, the camera being capable of displaying a color image by the liquid crystal display element. SOLUTION: By arranging the liquid crystal display element depending on a field sequential system and a light source emitting a plurality of color light beams in the finder optical system, the color image is displayed in a finder.
