LITHIUM SECONDARY BATTERY, ITS SEPARATOR AND ITS MANUFACTURING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a secondary battery having high safety even when heat generation exceeding the melting point of a polymer microporous membrane having a local shutdown function occurs by an internal short circuit or the like.

SOLUTION: The lithium secondary battery uses a composite separator comprising a polymer microporous membrane layer; a first high heat-resistant porous layer integrally formed on one surface of the polymer microporous membrane layer and containing at least a heat resistant polymer and ceramic fillers; and a second high heat-resistant porous layer integrally formed on the other surface of the polymer microporous membrane layer and containing at least a heat resistant polymer and ceramic fillers.
