<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device having a cleaning device for cleaning stain caused by excessive toner (or an ink or the like) deposited on an end face of a paper sheet even when an image is output to the end of the paper sheet. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming device is capable of forming an image in a projecting manner from at least one end of a recording medium when forming a recording material on a recording medium, and comprises a cleaning device for cleaning the recording material deposited on an end face of the recording medium, and a control means for driving the cleaning device.
