<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cover opening/closing device, wherein the breakage of a cover is prevented even when the cover is shocked when it is opened, and it is hardly broken even when it is used over a long term. <P>SOLUTION: The cover opening/closing device includes: a battery cover 12 large enough to cover a battery housing part in a camera body; and a hinge unit for freely turnably coupling the battery cover 12 to the housing of the camera body, and is selectively shifted to a first state where the battery housing part is covered, and a second state where the battery housing part is exposed. The hinge unit couples the battery cover 12 with the housing so that the battery cover 12 can turn in a direction different from a turning direction when the battery cover 12 is shifted to the first state in the second state. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
